Biofiltration has become an increasingly popular technology for the Plywood and Composite Wood Products (PCWP) industries due to the lower costs when compared to incineration technologies However, the air streams from PCWP industries have posed several major problems for biofiltration technology.
This paper explores the optimization of operating parameters for biofilters operating in the PCWP industry as well as possible strategies for increasing existing biofilter performance.
